There are many villages in Bangladesh where community people have limited access to basic medical care. Lack of transportation and time off work are often major barriers to traveling to medical care. Without access to medical care, small issues can develop into bigger issues with implications not only to individuals but also to entire families. Due to COVID-19 pandemic in Bangladesh, getting medical service in hospitals is becoming difficult. Alongside, many patients are not willing to come to hospitals due to transport shortage and fear of Covid-19 transmission though they need medical services.
To meet these challenges and provide health services at the doorsteps of people, Savlon partnered with AGROHO, a non-profit organization and reached out to remote areas with ‘Savlon Mobile Hospital.’ The project has served more than 10,000 people since its inception. Savlon aims at continuing this endeavor to build a Germ-Free, Healthy Bangladesh.
